Route 34 in Wayne County Reduced for Bridge Improvements

SIKESTON - Route 34 in Wayne County will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction as contractor crews rehabilitate the bridge over the St. Francis River. 

This section of roadway is located between County Road 310 and County Road 312 near Silva, Missouri. 

Weather permitting, work will begin Monday, March 14, with completion anticipated Thursday, Dec. 1.  

This bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state. 

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
