Holt County Interstate 29 bridge project over Kimsey Creek to begin soon

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – A project to paint the northbound Interstate 29 bridge over Kimsey Creek in Holt County will begin soon. Contractors from Omega Coatings and Construction, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, plan to begin painting the northbound I-29 bridge over Kimsey Creek, located south of Mound City, on March 7.

Traffic may be narrowed from mile marker 76 to mile marker 79. Motorists may experience delays.

When the work at Kimsey Creek is complete, crews will move to the Davis Creek Bridge on I-29 just south of Route 118 near mile marker 84.
