Work Zone Safety Grant - 693JJ31750006Description - This 3-day course is designed to assist in understanding the design documents that were developed as part of an FHWA Work Zone Safety grant. Who Should Attend - This workshop is directed toward highway design engineers and work zone engineers.



Examples of things the course will discuss:

  • Design features and equipment to improve safety for road users
  • Content of TMPs and other pre-construction documents
  • Construction Staging
  • Constructability
  • How to avoid change orders

Examples of things the course will not discuss:

  • MUTCD typical application drawings for temporary traffic control
  • The process for getting a TMP approved in your agency
  • Construction site management
  • Contract administration
  • Public information/outreach
