Work Zone Safety Grant - 693JJ31750006Description - This 3-day course is designed to assist in understanding the design documents that were developed as part of an FHWA Work Zone Safety grant. Who Should Attend - This workshop is directed toward highway design engineers and work zone engineers.
Examples of things the course will discuss:
- Design features and equipment to improve safety for road users
- Content of TMPs and other pre-construction documents
- Construction Staging
- Constructability
- How to avoid change orders
Examples of things the course will not discuss:
- MUTCD typical application drawings for temporary traffic control
- The process for getting a TMP approved in your agency
- Construction site management
- Contract administration
- Public information/outreach
