St. Louis Work Zones for February 10 - 16

Section of I-44 downtown closes this weekend

ST. LOUIS –Drivers heading to events in downtown St. Louis should give themselves extra time to get around this weekend as crews will close a section of Interstate 44 in the city.

Starting at 8 p.m. Friday, February 11, I-44 will be closed in both directions from roughly the Eads Bridge to the Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge to remove a southbound Broadway bridge and ramp from the express lanes to Broadway. Currently, the southbound bridge over the interstate is closed, as are the express lanes into downtown. All interstate lanes and ramps will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, February 14.

In addition, crews will close both directions of Manchester in St. Louis County between Hanley Road and South Brentwood Boulevard, starting at 9 p.m. Friday, February 11.  The roadway is scheduled to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, February 14.

From Hanley, local traffic only will be able to go as far west on Manchester as Dorothy Avenue. From Brentwood Boulevard, local traffic only will be able to go as far east as Van Mark Way and Mary Avenue. Drivers on Mary Road will only be able to turn left (west) onto Manchester Road.  No official detour route will be marked.

Also, starting at 9 p.m. Friday, February 11, crews will close New Florissant Road under I-270 in both directions. Eastbound and westbound I-270 traffic over New Florissant Road will be reduced to one lane. All lanes are scheduled to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, February 14.
