I-270 closures at Route 370 tonight and I-44 tomorrow for sign removals

ST. LOUIS – Drivers who travel on I-270 near Route 370 in North St. Louis County should be aware of lane closures, including a brief complete closure starting tonight, Nov. 2.

Starting at 7 p.m. tonight, crews will start closing lanes on eastbound I-270 before Route 370 to remove an overhead sign truss for repair. By 9 p.m., three eastbound I-270 lanes will be closed. This will include a complete closure of all eastbound I-270 lanes at 11 p.m. lasting up to 15 minutes. Crews will also close the entrance ramp from St. Charles Rock Road (Route 180) onto eastbound I-270 at 9 p.m. The lanes and ramp are expected to reopen by 5 a.m. Wednesday, Nov 3.

In addition, tomorrow Nov. 3, starting at 7 p.m., crews will start closing lanes with three lanes closed on northbound I-270 before I-44 by 9 p.m. This will include a complete closure of all northbound I-270 lanes before I-44 at 11 p.m. lasting up to 15 minutes. The lanes are expected to reopen by 5 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 4.

Motorists should use caution while driving through the work zones and are encouraged to avoid the area if possible.
