TRAFFIC ALERT: Southbound I-49/North Fork Spring River Bridge South of Lamar OPEN to Traffic Oct. 25

Where: Southbound I-49/North Fork Spring River bridge south of Lamar in Barton County

When: as of 9 a.m., Monday, October 25

What: Bridge construction complete, all southbound lanes of I-49 are OPEN to traffic in normal configuration. Drivers can expect one northbound lane closed over the next few days while contractor completes final clean up in the work zone.

Project Information: This bridge was closed in May so contractor crews could replace the old bridge with a new structure. This new bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.
