New Bridge Open on Route K in Lewis County

HANNIBAL – This afternoon, Oct. 21, the new Route K bridge in Lewis County, over the Middle Fabius River, 1.9 miles south of Route Y near Labelle, opened.  The new bridge is 24 feet wide and four feet wider than the original bridge. Following this, the new bridge on Route C in Lewis County is expected to open within the next few weeks. Both bridge replacement projects are included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state. The contract for these projects was awarded earlier this year to Bleigh Construction Company of Hannibal, Missouri for $1,698,197.
