Improvements Approved for Multiple Roadways in Crawford and Phelps Counties

JEFFERSON CITY – Several roadways in Crawford and Phelps County will undergo surface improvement work, after approval today by the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission. Commission members approved a contract to resurface the following areas:

  • Crawford County Route UU – Between Old Route 66 and Argo Road.
  • Crawford County South Outer Road – Between Route ZZ and the Phelps County line. 
  • Crawford County Route BB – Between Route 8 and Westover Road.
  • Phelps County Route KK – Between Route 8 and the Crawford County line.

The contract also includes the entire length of Routes FF and WW in Crawford County. Pace Construction was awarded the contract, after submitting the low bid for the project at $2,498,000.

The work will take place in 2022.  When a start date is established for the project, MoDOT will alert the public through signs, news releases and social media.
