Slide repair project set to begin in Sullivan County

Multiple locations on Routes 5 and 6 to be repaired

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Several slides along Sullivan County Routes 5 and 6 will be repaired through a project that begins Monday, Oct. 4. The Missouri Department of Transportation contracted with Lehman Construction, LLC to complete the project for 10 locations along the two routes.

Work on Route 5 is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 4 through Wednesday, Nov. 10. Work on Route 6 is scheduled to begin Wednesday, Nov. 10 and all work should be complete by the end of November. A 10-foot width restriction will be in place on each route while work is ongoing.

All work is weather-permitting and schedules are subject to change. Drivers are urged to stay alert and pay attention to all roadway signing and barricades. Please remember that all roads are No Phone zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive.
