BOONE COUNTY – Travelers that utilize Boone County Route A will soon travel on a smoother roadways surface. Contractors working for the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will begin making improvements on next week to Route A, between U.S. Route 63 and Main Street in Hartsburg.
The work, which begins on Monday, September 27, consists of a one-inch asphalt overlay to the roadway, providing a smoother driving for motorists Crews will be working between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Drivers are encouraged to slow down in work zones, obey all traffic signs and give crews on the road plenty of room. Some delays are possible and MoDOT says they appreciate the patience of travelers while the work take place.
