SIKESTON—The Missouri Department of Transportation plans to replace three bridges on Route 162 between Gideon and Portageville, Missouri. The bridges are located over Drainage Ditches 1, 251 and 62.
The projects will be let in November 2021, with construction beginning as early as February 2022. One bridge will be constructed at a time, and contractors will complete the replacement in one location before proceeding to the next.
As work is underway, the roadway will be closed in the vicinity of each bridge. A signed detour will be in place.
Completion is anticipated by December 2022.
