JACKSON COUNTY – MoDOT Kansas City will be making pavement repairs that will require the following closures. Motorists must find alternate routes during this time. All work is weather permitting.
- Crews will close the ramp from southbound I-35 to Independence Ave. beginning at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 15, until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning.
- Crews will close the ramp from Independence Ave. to southbound I-35 beginning at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 15, until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning.
- Crews will close Troost Ave. from Pacific Street to Independence Ave. beginning at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 15, until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning.
- Crews will close the ramp from eastbound I-70 to northbound I-29/I-35 beginning at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 15, until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
