COLE/CALLAWAY COUNTY – Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) maintenance crews will be replacing concrete next week along U.S. Route 50 and U.S. Route 54 in Jefferson City.
Work will take place Sunday, August 29 through Thursday, September 2 and will require lane and ramp closures at several locations. Closures will take place between 7:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
On Sunday, August 29, one lane of eastbound Route 54 will be closed between the Missouri River Bridge and the Katy Trail. The eastbound Missouri Boulevard exit ramp and eastbound Route W entrance ramp will also be closed.
On Monday, August 30, one eastbound lane of Route 50 will be closed between Dix Road and Bolivar Street. The southbound Route 63 exit ramp to westbound Route 54 will also be closed.
On Tuesday, August 31, one westbound lane of Route 54 will be closed between Missouri Boulevard and Stadium Boulevard. The Route C entrance ramp to westbound Route 54 will also be closed.
On Wednesday, September 1, one westbound lane of Route 54 will be closed between Missouri Boulevard and Stadium Boulevard. The westbound Route 54 exit ramp onto Main Street will also be closed.
Signs will be in place to guide traffic through the work zones. MoDOT appreciates the patience of travelers during the work and encourages drivers to obey all traffic signs and give crews plenty of room to work.
