Increased state gas tax in Missouri, cities and counties

With the recent passage of the increased state gas tax in Missouri, cities and counties will benefit from this 12.5 cent increase as well.  Beginning in October 2021, the state gas tax will be increased 2.5 cents per gallon and will be phased in over 5 years, increasing each year by 2.5 cents until reaching the full 12.5 cents in July 2025.  Drivers can also request a refund of the additional tax.  Cities and counties each receive 15 percent of the state gas tax.   How much will each city and county receive?  Estimated revenue each will receive once the gas tax is fully phased in over the next 5 years and before any refunds would be requested can be found here
