Chariton County Route 139 now open after bridge replacement project

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Grand River Overflow Bridge on Chariton County Route 139 is now open after a bridge replacement project. The Missouri Department of Transportation contracted with Boone Construction Co. to complete the project. This bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.

Crews closed the bridge to all traffic on Dec. 7, 2020 and were able to reopen it to all traffic Friday, Aug. 6, 2021.
