St. Joseph, Mo. – Contractors working with the Missouri Department of Transportation plan to close several ramps on Interstate 229 tomorrow and Thursday, Aug. 4-5, for shoulder work.
Tomorrow morning, Wednesday, Aug. 4, from 6 to 8 a.m., the ramp from southbound U.S. Route 71 to southbound I-229 and from northbound I-29 to southbound I-229 (Exit 56B) will be closed.
For the remainder of Wednesday and continuing through Thursday, Aug. 5, the I-229 on- and off-ramps between Highland Avenue and I-29 will be closed for approximately 30 minutes each. Due to the nature of the work, an exact time for each ramp closure is not known at this time. Motorists are advised to remain alert and follow all roadway signing and traffic control devices.
All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
