DATE CHANGE: Ramp closure planned this week at St. Joseph Avenue and Interstate 229

Closure will extend through the weekend and into next week

St. Joseph, Mo. – Contractors working with the Missouri Department of Transportation have announced new dates for the ramp closure from U.S. Route 59 (St. Joseph Avenue) to southbound Interstate 229. Previously the contractor had planned to close the ramp tomorrow, Tuesday, Aug. 3, through Friday, Aug. 6. The ramp will now close Friday, Aug. 6 and remain closed around-the-clock through the weekend. They plan to reopen the ramp Tuesday, Aug. 10. The closure is necessary to safely complete work to the ramp’s guardrail.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
