Traffic Alert: Pavement repair work will cause lane closures on I-70

JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will make the following traffic change for pavement repair work in Jackson County. All work is weather dependent.

Crews will close two lanes of westbound I-70 between Brooklyn Ave. and The Paseo from midnight, Saturday, July 24 until 3pm, Sunday, July 25

As a result of the closure, motorists should anticipate slower than usual traffic flow in the area. Please plan ahead.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
