Ramp closures planned next week in St. Joseph on Interstate 229 and U.S. Route 36

St. Joseph, Mo. – Contractors working with the Missouri Department of Transportation plan to close several ramps along Interstate 229 and U.S. Route 36 in St. Joseph next week in order to complete safety improvements, including guardrail. During the closures, motorists will need to use an alternate route.

Below is the planned schedule of ramp closures:

Monday, July 26:

  • Southbound I-229 to Highland Avenue (Exit 7)
  • Eastbound U.S. Route 36 to Route 759

Tuesday, July 27

  • Southbound I-229 to Highland Avenue (Exit 7)
  • Westbound U.S. Route 36 to northbound I-229
  • Eastbound U.S. Route 36 to southbound I-229
  • Eastbound U.S. Route 36 to 10th Street
  • 9th Street to eastbound U.S. Route 36

Wednesday, July 28

  • Westbound U.S. Route 36 to northbound I-229
  • Eastbound U.S. Route 36 to 10th Street
  • 9th Street to eastbound U.S. Route 36
