Bridge on 22nd Street in St. Joseph to remain closed through Monday

St. Joseph, Mo. – In order to allow the concrete to cure and strengthen, the closure of the bridge on 22nd Street over U.S. Route 36 will extend into Monday, July 26. The Missouri Department of Transportation contracted with Realm Construction, Inc. to repair the bridge approaches. The bridge has been closed since July 8 and will remain closed through the weekend. The contractor hopes to reopen the bridge on Monday, if the concrete has reached full strength. Motorists must use an alternate route during the closure.

This work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
