Traffic Alert: Pavement work will cause lane closures on I-29 in Platte and Clay Counties

PLATTE/CLAY COUNTIES – The Missouri Department of Transportation will make the following traffic changes for pavement repair work. All work is weather dependent.

Crews will close the northbound I-29 lanes at mile marker 2.6, (Clay County) which is just before the entrance ramp of 169 Highway southbound from 7pm, Friday, July 23 until 6am, Saturday, July 24

Crews will close the northbound lanes of I-29 before I-635 (Platte County) from 7pm, Friday, July 23 until 6am, Saturday, July 24
 

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
