TRAFFIC ALERT: Expect Nighttime Ramp CLOSURES at Route 171 & Route 249 in Jasper County July 26 & 27

Where: Eastbound Missouri Route 171-to-southbound Missouri Route 249 and northbound Route 249-to-westbound Route 171 in Webb City

When: 8 p.m.-6 a.m., Monday & Tuesday, July 26 & 27

What: Contractor crews will CLOSE ramps at while removing the old driving surface on the ramps and replacing with new surface.

Traffic Impacts:

  • Ramps CLOSED to traffic during nighttime hours where crews are working
  • Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zones
  • All ramps will be OPEN during daytime hours
  • No signed detours
  • Drivers should find alternate route

(Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule)

Details: This work is part of a project to resurface approximately 26 miles of Route 171 between the Missouri/Kansas state line and I-49 along with relocating the intersection of Routes 171/96/YY near Carl Junction.

Project Information:

  • Prime contractor: APAC-Central Inc., Springfield
  • Total construction costs: $9.8 million
  • Contract completion date: December 15, 2021
