Work Begins to Improve Several Callaway County Roadways

CALLAWAY COUNTY – Contractors working for the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will begin a project next week to resurface three roadways in Callaway County.

Beginning on Tuesday, July 20, crews will begin resurfacing Route K between Route D and the Montgomery County line. Once that work is complete, similar resurfacing is planned in the coming weeks for Route PP between Route 94 and Route BB and HH between Interstate 70 and U.S. Route 54.

Lane closures will be required during construction and flaggers will be in place to guide motorists through the work zones. The entire project is scheduled for completion in September.

Pace Construction Company was awarded the contract for the work in June, after submitting the low bid of $1,389,777.

This work is weather permitting and could be delayed. For more information and updates about this project or other transportation-related matters, please call 1-888-ASK-MoDOT (275-6636) or visit www.modot.org/central. Follow the MoDOT Central Missouri District on Facebook and Twitter for project updates.
