HANNIBAL – Lincoln County Route CC at Bryant’s Creek, approximately 3.6 miles west of Missouri Route 79 near Elsberry is scheduled to open by late Friday, July 16. The bridge closed in April for replacement. Bleigh Construction Company of Hannibal, Missouri, completed the project.
“Project improvements included a 24-feet wide bridge deck. This is four feet wider than the original structure, built in 1956,” said Missouri Department of Transportation Area Engineer Erik Maninga.
Included in the contract with this project is a second bridge replacement, located on Route M over King’s Lake. This project is currently under construction and estimated to be completed later this month. The bridge replacement on Route M is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.
