JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will make the following traffic changes as part of a project to upgrade the lighting system along the 71 Highway corridor. All work is weather dependent.
Crews will intermittently turn off traffic signals at the intersection of 71 Highway and 59th street from 10am until noon, Wednesday, July 14 for signal work
Crews will intermittently turn off traffic signals at the intersection of 71 Highway and 63rd from 10am until noon, Friday, July 16 for signal work
Crews will intermittently turn off traffic signals at the intersection of 71 Highway and Meyer Blvd. from 10am until noon, Monday, July 19 for signal work
Crews will intermittently turn off traffic signals at the intersection of 71 Highway and Gregory Blvd. from 10 am until noon, Thursday, July 22 for signal work
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
