TRAFFIC ALERT: Rt 54 Bridge CLOSED West of Nevada, Traffic Shifted Head-to-Head Beginning July 8

Where: Westbound U.S. Route 54 over Little Drywood Creek west of Nevada

When: As of 2:30 p.m., Thursday, July 8 until further notice

What: Westbound Route 54/Little Drywood Creek bridge CLOSED to allow MoDOT crews to make repairs to the bridge

Traffic Impacts:

  • Westbound U.S. Route 54/Little Drywood Creek bridge CLOSED
  • Traffic reduced to one lane in each direction, shifted head-to-head in eastbound Route 54 lanes
  • Reduced speed limit
  • Signs and message boards will alert drivers to the work zone
  • Drivers should find alternate route

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
