TRAFFIC ALERT: Traffic Slowdowns/Stops on I-44 at MM 47.4 and Route 96 in Lawrence Co. on June 28

Where/What: I-44 traffic briefly slowed and possibly stopped at mile marker 47.4 and Missouri Route 96 in Lawrence County to allow contractor crews to install edge rumbles where concrete driving surface was repaired

When: Beginning 8 p.m., Monday, June 28

Traffic Impacts:

  • Contractor crews will briefly slow and possibly stop east- and westbound I-44 traffic
  • Work will be done at mile marker 47.4 near Mt. Vernon and at Route 96 near Halltown
  • Signs and message boards will alert drivers to the work zone
  • Drivers should find alternate route

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
