CASS COUNTY –MoDOT Kansas City will be replacing the east outer road bridge along I-49 over Tennessee Creek beginning on Monday, June 21 at 7 a.m. The bridge will close at that time until approximately mid-September. There will be no signed detour. Motorists must find alternate routes. Traffic on the north end of the work zone will have access to the 307th St. Traffic on the south end of the work zone will have access to county roads and can reach I-49 by taking the outer road south to 347th St. All work is weather permitting.
Please be patient and considerate to your fellow motorists. Use the zipper merge and take turns at merge points. Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE ZONES. Buckle up. Phone down. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
