Callaway County Route O Bridge Rehabilitation to Begin Next Week

CALLAWAY COUNTY – A contractor working for the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will begin replacing the deck and upgrading guardrail on the Callaway County Route O bridge over Auxvasse Creek, southeast of Fulton, next week.

The existing bridge was built in 1967 and the driving surface has reached a point where rehabilitation is necessary to extend the life and usability of the bridge.

Starting Monday, June 21, crews will begin rehabilitating the bridge. Route O will be closed to traffic at the bridge during construction. The work is expected to be completed by the end of August.

Motorists will need to use alternate routes during construction.
