MoDOT Releases Details Regarding 2022 Mill Creek Bridge Replacement Project

LACLEDE COUNTY – Information is now available regarding the replacement of the Missouri Route 32 bridge over Mill Creek, located between Nebo and Lynchburg. The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is inviting nearby residents and motorists to share their thoughts.

The 85-year-old bridge has reached the point where replacement is necessary.  The new bridge will make the driving surface smoother which will improve safety for travelers. This project is expected to begin and be completed in 2022.

The bridge will be closed while work takes place and detours will be in place. Specific closure information will be announced through signs, media releases and social media when a timeline for the project has been established.

Motorists and area residents can ask questions or provide feedback on this project using the digital comment form at modot.org/millcreekbridge. The online public comment period is open through July 2.

This bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state. Check out the Focus on Bridges page for more information about the program.
