Delayed: Bridge joint repairs to close 9th Street under U.S. Route 36 next week

St. Joseph, Mo. – Crews working with the Missouri Department of Transportation had expected to close the 9th Street under the U.S. Route 36 Bridge this morning, Monday, June 14, but have had to delay the project by one day. Crews now plan close the bridge tomorrow, Tuesday, June 15, in order to safely complete bridge joint repairs this week. The work is expected to take place from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily, through Thursday, June 17. Motorists must use an alternate route during the closure.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
