Ramps Along Interstate 70 to Close for Driving Surface Improvements

CALLAWAY COUNTY – Paving operations will require contractors working for the Missouri Department of Transportation to close entrance and exit ramps along Interstate 70 in Callaway County.

Ramps will be closed in the following locations:

  • Monday, June 14 at mile marker 144 near Hatton.
  • Thursday, June 17 at mile marker 148 in Kingdom City.
  • Friday, June 18 at mile marker 137 near Millersburg.

The ramps will close one at a time at each of the interchanges, with plans to complete all four ramps at each location in one night.

The work will take place from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. each night. Motorists who want to access the ramps will need to seek alternate routes. Message boards will be in place to inform drivers of the ramp closures.

This work is part of a project to repair pavement along both directions of the interstate between the Cedar Creek bridge, located east of Columbia, and Kingdom City, in preparation for the upcoming I-70 resurfacing project from Kingdom City to the Boone County line.

This work is weather permitting and could be delayed.
