Overnight pavement repairs scheduled for portions of I-70, U.S. 40, and I-435 beginning June 8

JACKSON COUNTY–  MoDOT Kansas City will be making overnight pavement repairs along portions I-70, U.S. 40, and I-435 beginning on Tuesday, June 8, through Friday, June 11. This work will require various lane and ramp closures. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and find alternate routes if necessary. All work is weather permitting.

Tuesday, June 8

  • Crews will close various lane along westbound I-70 at approximately mile markers 11.4 and 11.7 beginning at 7:30 p.m. until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning.
  • Crews will also close the eastbound U.S. 40 ramp to eastbound I-70 beginning at 7:30 p.m. until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning.

Wednesday, June 9

  • Crews will close the Blue Ridge Cutoff ramp to eastbound I-70 beginning at 7:30 p.m. until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning.
  • Crews will also close one lane of eastbound I-70 at approximately mile marker 13.8 beginning at 7:30 p.m. until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning.

Thursday, June 10

  • Crews will close the westbound I-70 ramp to northbound I-435 beginning at 7:30 p.m. until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning.

Friday, June 11

  • Crews will close the Stadium Dr. ramp to southbound I-435 beginning at 7:30 p.m. until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
