MACON – Weather permitting, Monday, June 14, crews will close Missouri Route 15 in Scotland County at Foreman (Gunns) Branch, located 0.40 mile north of Scotland County Route AA north of Memphis, for a bridge replacement. Bleigh Construction, of Palmyra, Missouri, was awarded this project in the amount of $892,838, and has 60 days to complete the project.
“To increase safety, the new bridge will be 28 feet wide with three foot shoulders,” said Missouri Department of Transportation Area Engineer Amy Crawford.
A signed detour will be in place. Traffic will be directed on U.S. Route 136 to U.S. Route 63 at Lancaster. Motorists can go up U.S. 63 to Iowa Route 2 to Milton and then down MO 15.
Upon completion of Foreman Branch, crews will then close Wyaconda River bridge, located north of Scotland County Route CC, for a bridge replacement. We will provide more specific information on that schedule when it becomes available.
