Various lane closures scheduled for sign truss work starting June 7

JACKSON COUNTY– MoDOT Kansas City will be conducting overnight sign truss work along portions of northbound I-435 and westbound I-70 beginning on Monday, June 7. This work will include lane and ramp closures. Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes. All work is weather permitting.

  • Northbound I-435 will be reduced to one lane from Eastwood Trafficway to Stadium Drive beginning at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 7, until 5 a.m. the following morning.
      • A single lane closure will begin ay 7 p.m. leading to a double lane closure beginning at 8 p.m.
  • Westbound I-70 will be reduced to one lane from Blue Ridge Cutoff to I-435 overnight from 7 p.m. each evening until 5 a.m. the following mornings starting on Tuesday, June 8, through Thursday, June 10.
    • The ramp from westbound I-70 to southbound I-435 will be closed during this time.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
