JACKSON COUNTY– MoDOT Kansas City will be conducting resurfacing work along MO Route 12 from I-435 to Spring Street beginning on Tuesday, May 25. This work will require various lane closures in the area beginning at 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily starting on Tuesday, May 25, through Friday, May 28. Work will also take place overnight from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following mornings beginning Tuesday, June 1, through Friday, June 4. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and leave early as there may be traffic impacts. All work is weather permitting.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
