TRAFFIC ALERT: Rt 249-to-I-44 Ramp CLOSED in Joplin Now Until May 28 as Part of Pavement Repair Work

Where: Southbound Missouri Route 249-to-westbound I-44 in Joplin

When: Today (Monday), May 24 through noon, Friday, May 28

Why: Ramp is CLOSED while contractor crews are repairing concrete pavement in nearby westbound I-44 lanes

Traffic Impacts:

  • ‘Round the clock southbound Route 249-to-westbound I-44 ramp and westbound I-44 lane closures at Jasper County Route FF (32nd Street) in Joplin
  • Drivers should expect traffic delays, narrowed lanes
  • Ramp and all lanes of I-44 OPEN by noon, Friday, May 28
  • Drivers urged to find alternate routes, no signed detours are planned
