I-270 North Project closes lane for emergency pavement repairs on Eastbound I-270 near U.S.Route 67

Drivers should be aware of a lane closure today on eastbound I-270 just after U.S. Route 67 (Lindbergh Boulevard). This closure will allow for emergency repair of some of the pavement in this section of the highway. Two lanes will remain open in this area of eastbound I-270 during the closure.

Drivers should anticipate longer than usual delays, especially between the hours of 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Drivers are encouraged to find alternate travel routes during that time frame.

“We tried temporary measures to fix this, but they haven’t worked due to the volume of rain,” said Justin Wolf, I-270 North project director. “Our intent is to close a single lane for 24 hours until a permanent fix can be made. We anticipate that crews will have all lanes of eastbound I-270 open by 2 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, May 19th.”

Drivers are encouraged to visit the I-270 North Project website at: www.i270north.org to learn more about planned detours and details of the project, including a project overview and graphic displays of planned construction. Travelers can also contact MoDOT’s customer service center at:1-314-275-1500 or the I-270 North Project Team at: I-270North@modot.mo.gov.
