PLATTE COUNTY – Crews will make the following traffic change as part of an intersection improvement project at Route 9 and 6th St. in Platte County. All work is weather dependent.
Crews will shift lane traffic in northbound and southbound Route 9 between 5th St. and 7th beginning at 7:00 a.m. Monday, May 17 and continuing until Sunday, August 15 for intersection improvement work. Lane shifts will occur 24/7 and daytime flagging operations will take place between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., daily.
Overall improvements include; pavement milling, pavement overlay, full-depth pavement work, widening of turn lanes, sidewalk and storm sewer replacement.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
