MoDOT Releases Details Regarding 2022 Route 89 Swan Creek Bridge Redeck Project

Public Invited to Comment Online thru May 28

OSAGE COUNTY - Information is now available regarding the redeck of the Route 89 bridge over Swan Creek, located south of Linn, and the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is inviting nearby residents and travelers to share their thoughts.

The bridge over Swan Creek was built in 1964 and has reached the point where rehabilitation is necessary to extend the life and usability of the bridge.

Route 89 will be closed to traffic at the bridge during the construction of the new deck and a detour route will signed. MoDOT says closure information will be announced through signs, media releases and social media when a timeline for the project has been established.

This project is expected to begin and be completed in 2022.

Motorists and area residents can ask questions or provide feedback on this project using the digital comment form at modot.org/SwanCreekBridge. The online public comment period is open through May 28.

This bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.
