PLATTE COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will make the following traffic changes as part of the Route 9 resurfacing project in Platte County. Tonight’s work will cause intermittent closures. All work is weather dependent.
Crews will close one lane of southbound Route 9 between Horizons Parkway and the I-635 overpass, as well as the I-635 south to Route 9 southbound ramp and the Route 9 south to I-635 northbound ramp from 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 11 until 5:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 12 for pavement work
Once the southbound Route 9 pavement work is completed, crews will then close the Route 9 northbound to I-635 south ramp and the Route 9 northbound through lane
Crews will also close the I-635 south to Route 9 northbound ramp throughout the 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. period
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
