MoDOT TRAFFIC ALERT: U.S. Route 65 Bridge Lane Closures Over Sunshine Street

Where: U.S. Route 65 bridge over Sunshine Street (Greene County Route D) in Springfield

When: 8 p.m. Sunday, May 23 until 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, and 8 p.m. Friday, May 21 until 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 25 TBA

What: Contractor crews clean and seal the bridge deck/driving surfaces. The bridge seal work is a preventative maintenance measure aimed at extending the life of the bridge.

Traffic Impacts:

• 8 p.m. Sunday, May 23 until 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 25
  • Route 65 northbound and southbound right lanes and shoulder CLOSED over Sunshine Street (Route D)
  • Route 65 northbound and southbound center and left lanes OPEN
• 8 p.m. Friday, May 21 until 5 p.m. Sunday, May 23 TBA
  • Route 65 northbound and southbound center and left lanes CLOSED over Sunshine Street (Route D)
  • Route 65 northbound and southbound right lanes OPEN
• 5 p.m. Sunday, May 23 until 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 25 TBA
  • Route 65 northbound and southbound left-inside lanes CLOSED over Sunshine Street (Route D)
  • Route 65 northbound and southbound center and right lanes OPEN
• Drivers are urged to find alternate routes
• Electronic message boards located near the planned road work will alert drivers to any changes in the work schedule
• Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
