Traffic Alert: Route 9 repaving work will cause ramp closures in Platte Co.

PLATTE COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will make the following traffic changes as part of the Route 9 resurfacing project in Platte County. All work is weather dependent.

Crews will close the Route 9 southbound to the I-635 south ramp from 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 4 until 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 5 for resurfacing work.

Crews will also close the I-635 south to Route 9 south ramp and the Route 9 south to I-635 north ramp during the same time period.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
