CORRECTION: Southbound Interstate 229 ramp to northbound Interstate 29 to close next week

St. Joseph, Mo. – The ramp from southbound Interstate 229 to northbound I-29, just south of St. Joseph, will close Monday morning, May 3. The ramp closure is a part of ongoing environmental cleanup and roadway repairs following a vehicle crash. Crews expect the ramp to reopen on Thursday, May 6.

The ramp will remain closed around-the-clock. Motorists must use an alternate route during the closure.

As part of National Work Zone Awareness Week, MoDOT is asking drivers to work with us this construction season. Always buckle up and keep your phone down, and slow down and move over in work zones. Know before you go, and check what work zones you might encounter at traveler.modot.org.
