Nightly lane and ramp closures continues for portions of U.S. 50 for pavement work

JACKSON COUNTY– MoDOT Kansas City will be making pavement improvements along eastbound and westbound U.S. 50 between approximately Todd George Rd. to just north of Bannister/NW Colbern Rd. until approximately July 2021. This week and next week’s work includes the following closures. All work is weather permitting.

  • Crews will close the ramp from westbound U.S. 50 to 3rd St. NIGHTLY beginning on Thursday, April 29, through Saturday, May 1 from 8 p.m. each evening until 5 a.m. the following mornings.
  • Crews will close the ramp from  3rd St. to westbound U.S. 50 NIGHTLY beginning on Thursday, April 29, through Saturday, May 1 beginning at 8 p.m. on until 5 a.m. the following mornings.
  • Crews will close the westbound U.S. 50 ramp to Chipman Rd. NIGHTLY beginning on Thursday, April 29, through Monday, May 3, beginning at 8 p.m. on until 5 a.m. the following mornings.
  • Crews will close the ramp from Chipman Rd. to westbound U.S. 50 50 NIGHTLY beginning on Thursday, April 29, through Monday, May 3, beginning at 8 p.m. on until 5 a.m. the following mornings.
  • Crews will close the ramp from westbound U.S. 50 ramp to eastbound I-470 NIGHTLY beginning on Thursday, April 29, through Tuesday, May 4, beginning at 8 p.m. on until 5 a.m. the following mornings.
  • Crews will close the ramp from westbound I-470 to northbound MO Route 350 NIGHTLY beginning on Monday, May 3, through Thursday, May 6, beginning at 8 p.m. on until 5 a.m. the following mornings.
  • Crews will close the ramp northbound MO Route 350 to Colbern Rd. NIGHTLY beginning on Monday, May 3, through Friday, May 7, beginning at 8 p.m. on until 5 a.m. the following mornings.
  • Crews will close the ramp Colbern Rd. to northbound MO Route 350 NIGHTLY beginning on Monday, May 3, through Friday, May 7, beginning at 8 p.m. on until 5 a.m. the following mornings.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
