ST. LOUIS – Drivers in south St. Louis city or county heading to Illinois will need to determine alternate routes as crews will close the ramp to eastbound I-64 across this Mississippi River this weekend.
Crews will close the eastbound Interstate 44/northbound Interstate 55 ramp to the eastbound Interstate 64 bridge across the Mississippi River (the Poplar Street Bridge) Friday, April 30, at 8 p.m. for pavement repairs. Drivers already on eastbound I-64 will still be able to use the Poplar Street Bridge.
The ramp is scheduled to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, May 3.
Drivers should consider using the Interstate 255 bridge across the Mississippi (the Jefferson Barracks Bridge) or detour to the Martin Luther King bridge as alternate routes.
