PLATTE COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will close the southbound ramp from I-29 to Route 92 from now until Tuesday, June 1 or possibly longer for interchange improvement work. All work is weather dependent.
This is all part of a project to improve the intersection at Prairie View Rd. and Running Horse Rd. to the city limits, just east of I-29. Improvements include adding additional turn lanes, pedestrian crosswalks, and new signals. Completion is expected in the fall of 2021.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
