NOW OPEN: Buchanan County Southbound Interstate 229 ramp at Exit 43

St. Joseph, Mo. – The southbound Interstate 229 ramp to northbound I-29 (Exit 43) just south of St. Joseph was closed late Saturday, April 24, for environmental cleanup and roadway repairs following a vehicle crash. Crews were able to complete the work and open the ramp this afternoon.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention to all roadway signing and barricades. Buckle up. Phone down. Show-Me Zero.

As part of National Work Zone Awareness Week, MoDOT is asking drivers to work with us this construction season. Always buckle up and keep your phone down, and slow down and move over in work zones. Know before you go, and check what work zones you might encounter at traveler.modot.org.

Also at modot.org, sign up online for work zone updates. Information is also available 24/7 at 888-ASK-MODOT (275-6636) or via social media.
