Permit work may impact traffic on Clinton County U.S. Route 69 this week

St. Joseph, Mo. – Platte-Clay Electric Cooperative, working under a permit obtained through the Missouri Department of Transportation, will narrow U.S. Route 69 in Clinton County on Thursday, April 29. Crews will close the southbound lane of U.S. Route 69 just north of 280th Street from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Flaggers will direct drivers through the work zone.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention to all roadway signing and barricades. Buckle up. Phone down. Show-Me Zero.

As part of National Work Zone Awareness Week, MoDOT is asking drivers to work with us this construction season. Always buckle up and keep your phone down, and slow down and move over in work zones. Know before you go, and check what work zones you might encounter at traveler.modot.org.

Also at modot.org, sign up online for work zone updates. Information is also available 24/7 at 888-ASK-MODOT (275-6636) or via social media.
