MoDOT TRAFFIC ALERT: U.S. Route 160 (West Bypass) Bridge Over James River Freeway To CLOSE

In Springfield Rescheduled to April 25-27

Where: Southbound West Bypass/Greene County Route FF (Eastbound Route 160) bridge CLOSED over Route 60 (James River Freeway) in southwest Springfield

When: 10 p.m. Sunday, April 25, until as late as 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 27

What: Contractor crews cleaning and sealing bridge deck/driving surfaces on Route 160 (West Bypass/Greene County Route FF) bridge. The work is a preventative maintenance measure aimed at extending the life of the bridge. This work was rescheduled from April 19-21 due to weather.

Traffic Impacts:

  • Southbound West Bypass/Greene County Route FF (Eastbound Route 160) bridge CLOSED over Route 60 (James River Freeway)
  • Northbound West Bypass/Greene County Route FF(Westbound lanes of Route 160) bridge over Route 60 (James River Freeway) is open
  • Lanes will remain closed ‘round the clock to allow sealing material to cure properly
  • Drivers urged to find alternate routes. No signed detours are planned.
  • Electronic message boards located near the planned road work will alert drivers to any changes in the work schedule
  • Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
